Q and A with Enzian Vail

Enzian Vail

Somewhere in Vail Lionshead exists the perfect three-star property for generous living space, personalized attention, and a premium location. It’s called Enzian Vail and it’s a great place to stay. Being wonderfully picturesque and conveniently located to all the best aspects of Lionshead (just a 250-yard walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola) and just a short trek to Vail Village, Enzian simply provides beautiful vacations.

This property offers many excellent features that you’d expect to find at a higher star-ranked hotel or resort. The accommodation is spacious condominium style lodging with ski-in/ski-out access, all wonderfully comfortable and designed to give you a relaxing stay. It’s the ideal abundant living space here at Enzian with separate sleeping areas, spacious living rooms, and fully equipped kitchens — making them ideal for hosting large families or group ski vacations.

Q: How are the rooms?

A: These Lionshead condos are the perfect spacious places for a great Rocky Mountain vacation. No messing around, there are no units smaller than three-bedrooms and four and four-plus bedrooms in the three-storey complex. That’s ranging in size from 1,400 square-feet to 1,850 square-feet and featuring all the comforts of home. It’s roomy with open space living areas to kick back and relax, fully-equipped kitchens to whip up your own home-cooked meals (along with a gas BBQ on the balcony to do some open-air grilling), and washer/dryer ensuite so there’s that convenience too. There’s cable TV/DVD and high-speed internet so you can stay in touch with the outside world. There’s a gas fireplace in the living room to cozy up with as you look out the window at the mountain views and say to yourself, “Dang, we made a great decision coming here.”

Q: What amenities does Enzian Vail offer?

A: Guests of the Enzian enjoy many pleasurable amenities designed to maximize comfort and good times. While the hotel itself doesn’t have everything (in its minimalist style), you still have full access to the neighbouring amenities of Landmark Condominiums’ beautifully landscaped recreation deck. Just a few steps away from Enzian you’ll find an outdoor heated pool, three hot tubs, fire pit and amazing views of Vail Mountain and the village.

Q: What other services are available?

A: Well you’ve got your classic morning coffee in the neighbouring Landmark lobby, underground parking to stay snow-free in the depths of winter, daily housekeeping (during the winter only), and concierge service to hook you up with everything you’d want to know about Vail. Guest receive discounts on ski rentals and 10% off at the Aria Spa at the ultra-luxurious Vail Cascade Resort and Spa. The condos are a short walk to the free in-town shuttle to Vail Village and the shuttle to Beaver Creek. So basically anything you could want on your vacation is well within reach.

Q: What activities are available?

A: Well aside from the world-class skiing that extends into May, there are other many other exciting things to do. Snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in the winter; fly-fishing, mountain biking, and whitewater rafting in the summer. And there’s Adventure Ridge which is fun year-round for ski-bikes, tubing, and bungee trampoline in the winter and mini golf, climbing wall, and horseback riding in the summer.

Q: Are there any on-site restaurants?

A: While there aren’t any restaurants exactly on-site, there are many excellent options in the Lionshead Village, just steps away. Some of our favourites include: Atwater on Gore Creek; Blue Moose Pizzeria; Moe’s BBQ; Sushi Oka; and Vail Chophouse.
