Questions with Vail Racquet Club

Vail Racquet Club

Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort  is the perfect place to find everything you’re looking for in the Vail area – convenient location and homebase for a Rocky Mountain adventure, affordable (and beautiful) condos to call home away from home, and top notch resort facilities and amenities. The largest resort property in Vail at over 20 sprawling acres, accentuated by cliffs and cascading waterfalls, Vail Racquet Club offers chalet-style condos and townhomes and makes for a wonderful vacation.

Q: How is the lodging?

A: There’s standard vacationing in Vail with your basic hotel room – and then there’s Vail Racquet Club, with all the comforts of home (and maybe even more). Available in one-, two-, or three-bedroom condos as well as three-bedroom townhomes, all the units here are privately owned and individually decorated so you really feel the personal touch (no run of the mill, assembly line rooms here). All the units feature a fully equipped kitchen to whip up your own meals and a dining room in which to enjoy them, a cozy living room to relax in beside the fireplace or wood stove, TV + DVD in most rooms, private bath for each bedroom, and beautiful views out the windows and patio/balcony (with barbecue grill). Fall asleep in your big comfortable bed to the melodic hum of Gore Creek, energized for the next day (which will be the best day yet).

Q: What services and amenities does Vail Racquet Club offer?

A: This resort offers the most extensive amenities of any accommodation in Vail. Stay in shape at the expansive fitness center, offering complimentary classes in yoga, pilates, spin and fitness, with personal trainers available for a fee. Putting the racquet in Racquet Club, there are ten outdoor tennis courts (three clay) with tennis training wall as well as a 1/2 court basketball court, all totally complimentary for guests. Go for a dip in the year-round outdoor heated pool and relax in the two hot tubs. Marinate yourself in the eucalyptus steam rooms and saunas. There’s a playground for the kids (with another at Bighorn Park just steps away) and a large flagstone BBQ area to do some grilling in the summer. Of course there’s free parking and WiFi and the White River Sports Shop on-site gets you outfitted for amazing fly-fishing adventures on Gore Creek.

Q: Okay, tell me more about The Fitness Center and Spa!

A: That’s really more of a demand than a question but it’s the most comprehensive fitness club in the Vail Valley at 2,800 square-feet with Cybex equipment and a free-weight room. The pool is 25m and basically mountainside and the outdoor hot tubs fit 20 humans each (with one for adults only). The Spa offers expert therapists certified in a variety of massage techniques, perfect for rejuvenation after a big day of activities. The tennis services include lessons, drills, camps, and clinics to elevate your level of play. There are also plenty of kids activities available like tennis camps and expert swim lessons.

Q: How is the dining and cuisine here?

A: On site you’ll find Blu’s Restaurant, a long-time Vail favourite serving up amazing fine dining in a beautiful space with tall ceilings, huge windows, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Enjoy reasonably priced continental cuisine (and an extensive wine list) with friendly and efficient service. Try the Shrimp Wontons, Italian Meat Pizza, and Blackened Tuna Sashimi. Breakfast is also phenomenal (served only on weekends) with an excellent menu.

Q: I’m looking to host a meeting, what does Vail Racquet Club have to offer?

A: This resort is the perfect choice for hosting meetings, corporate retreats and team-building events. The 1,100 square-foot Royal Elk Room opens onto a 4,000 square-foot terrace with amazing views. As you could imagine, it’s also excellent for weddings. Wedding planners and event coordinators on-site will help make your special day just as you’ve dreamed.

Q: Can my dog come?

A: Terribly sorry but pets are not permitted. :(

Q: Has it won any awards?

A: It sure has. Just a few accolades include the Gold Property Award and Platinum Service Award from Vail Valley Partnership, the Expedia Insiders’ Select Award, the Condé Nast Award, and a solid 4.5-Star Guest Rating on TripAdvisor.
