Perfect your Swing in the Vail Valley

Golfing is a fun and relaxing sport. You can play at the pace that you feel like, you can play solo or with your friends, and you can even conduct a business meeting while playing golf. Going away for a weekend for a round or two of golf with your buddies can be the best thing for you and your friends, and if you’re looking for an unforgettable golf weekend, look no further than Vail Valley.

Vail Valley offers a myriad of activities for visitors year-round, but for summer visitors, the beautiful, lush greens of the golf courses in Vail Valley can’t be beat. Vail offers three full-size golf courses: Vail Golf Club, Eagle Vail Golf Club, and Eagle Ranch Golf Club.

Vail Golf Club

The Vail Golf Club is considered to be one of the best golf courses in Vail Valley, and both Vail locals and guests consider a visit to the Vail Golf Club as an experience to remember. Golf Digest Magazine has hailed Vail Golf Club as one of the “Top 100 Resort Courses”. Golfers who visit the club might be in for a surprise: due to its elevation, golf balls fly around 10% further, so if you want to impress a friend or a colleague, there’s no better place to play a round with them than at the Vail Golf Club.

Visitors of all golf skill levels can enjoy the course, and there is even a course that is specifically designed for women and children. The Vail Golf Club is open from May to October every year. Aside from a golf course, there is also a practice facility if you want to practice your swings before hitting the green, as well as a pro shop where you can purchase high-quality golfing equipment. Finally, after a long day of playing the greens, you can grab a bite to eat at the Happy Valley Grill.

Proper golfing attire is required at the Vail Golf Club, and riding a golf cart is mandatory. Each player must have his or her own golf set, and you cannot wear spiked shoes to play.

Eagle Vail Golf Club

Golfing in VailIf you love fantastic views and being close to nature, make sure to visit the Eagle Vail Golf Club. The club is located at an elevation of 8000 ft., and if it’s the first time for you to play mountain golf, this is the perfect chance to do so! The Eagle Vail Golf Club offers an 18-hole course that is ideal for families and beginners. However, if you’re only looking for a quick round of golf, you can also indulge in a 9-hole, 3-par course at nearby Willow Creek.

Eagle Vail Golf Club is located beside the scenic, winding Eagle River. As you play through Eagle Vail, you will be surrounded by colorful flowers, lush pines, and the majestic shadow of the Gore Mountain Range. Aside from the courses, you can also perfect your golf game at the in-house practice facility. There is a golf shop with all the golfing equipment that you could need, as well as a club house with refreshments.

The dress code is simple: collared shirts, and no denim. The course is open from June to October every year. Reservations for the club can be made up to 5 days in advance.

Eagle Ranch Golf Club
