Listen to the Sound of Music Festivals in Vail

The sound of music has never been more alive than in Vail during the summer, surrounded by Colorado’s Rocky Mountains at more than 8,000 feet in elevation.  Nature brings its own sound bites. By day, Vail will wow you with its activities from biking to hiking, sipping cold local brews to sipping wine, dining al fresco or taking a picnic on your hike. And then there’s the evening, with the backdrop of the always impressive Colorado sunset serenaded by the local music festivals.  You got that right – Vail is a music lover’s perfect vacation.

Bravo! Vail: Symphony of the Rocky Mountains

Where can you find the only North American festival to host three of the world’s finest orchestras in a single season?  You got that right – Bravo! Vail Music Festival.  Each summer, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic take up residence in Vail and are featured in programs of the great classics, plus jazz and pops. That’s not all world-renowned chamber music artists perform a diverse and eclectic chamber music series.

The 2015 Bravo! Vail Music Festival season debuts today (July 1) with an all-Beethoven concert featuring the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and violinist Pinchas Zukerman and continues through August 6. For those who have had the pleasure of listening to a concert at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater you already know that the experience combines the joy of listening to music with a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains.  Oh, and then there’s that sharing a bottle of wine with friends with surround sound of your own live concert. Yeah, that’s even more special.

This season, Bravo! Vail is stepping up the experience with extra-musical experiences, by celebrating all the arts, from visual to dance to theater to animation.  Make it a family event with the Free Family Concert on July 16. Sound intriguing?  Book your Vail summer vacation now.
