Q: We’re gnawing at the bit ready to do a lot on our vacation, what activities are available?

Westin Riverfront at Beaver Creek is located in one of the best possible spots: directly across from the Riverfront Express Gondola and right next to some of the Rocky’s tastiest restaurants, and abundant shopping. Ski-in/ski-out to Beaver Creek Mountain in the winter or do all sorts of fun activities in the summer. Head out on Eagle River for some of the best fly fishing in Colorado; blast through the mountain trails on a four-seater RZR ATV tour; hit up the links for some outstanding golfing at Red Sky, Eagle Vail, or Beaver Creek; or charge down the rivers on a whitewater rafting tour. And if you want to just chill, you can do that too. Westin Riverfront has one of the best spas in the state.

Q: Sounds like we’ll have no troubles keeping busy! How is the pool?

A: In a word? Outstanding. It’s outdoors, it’s heated, and it’s a 25-yard lap pool with four lanes. So you can stay in shape swimming on your vacation. No messing around trying to dodge playing kids in a tiny pool when you swim laps. Westin Riverfront gives you the rare option to swim seriously on your vacation. And when you wanna relax, marinate yourself in the one of three infinity hot tubs with river views. The surrounding deck is a great spot to chill on a sunny day and order a snack or a beverage. And in the summer you’ll enjoy “dive-in movies” around the pool.

Q: Wow that is quite unique; what other amenities does Westin Riverfront offer?

A: Well we mentioned the Spa Anjali. It’s 27,000 square feet and phenomenal. Condé Nast Traveler named it the #4 resort spa in U.S. and for good reason. Unique healing treatments and services inspired from all mountain ranges (from the Rockies to the Himalayas) add to a complete wellness and fitness center with all sorts of options to be fully pampered and blissed out. There’s also a full Tennis Center just two miles from the resort.

Q: Very nice. Now how are the rooms??

A: Beautiful. Upon entry into your room you’ll instantly be impressed at the spaciousness, then further impressed at the exquisite attention to detail. The design is well thought out and comfortable, and the whole situation results in a peaceful and restorative environment. Sleep like a baby in Westin’s own Heavenly Beds. Soak up the mountain views from your private balcony. The rooms are available in studio suites and one-, two-, and three-bedrooms. Most larger units have full kitchens and fireplaces and all sorts of awesome little touches that stand out above the competition.

Q: What are some examples of these awesome little touches you speak of?

A: Room amenities include in-room movies, humidifiers, coffee makers with Starbucks roast, big bathrooms, 24-hour room service, cordless phones, windows that open, and Heavenly bathrobes and slippers.

Q: I’m in Vail on business, what do you have to offer me?

A: Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa features the 3,800 square foot Riverside Ballroom: the perfect place for a business meeting or event. The space can be broken down into four separate rooms plus a kayak-themed boardroom, depending on your intentions. There’s also an additional 4,000 square feet of outdoor space available for your event. And of course it comes with audio-visual needs and a unique catering menu to keep your guest satisified and happy. (The mountain backdrop doesn’t hurt, either).

Q:  Can I bring Minuteman, my border collie?

A: Westin Riverfront embraces all cultures and nationalities of guests, which is to say: it’s a pet-friendly property. Westin provides Heavenly Dog Beds, along with food and water bowls plus a special amenity kit for your four-legged amigo. Maximum two dogs allowed in your room!

Q: How is the dining on property?

A: You have multiple great options in the Westin alone (many more in the surrounding town of course). Maya is modern Mexican with a vibrant twist (coming June 2013); The Lift is a casual All-American café; The Market offers grab-and-go options and of course there’s the 24-hour room service. There’s also a Wine Bar in the Grand Lobby with an excellent selection of vintages. So yeah, you’re covered. And some of the best restaurants in Colorado are nearby should you wish to venture out.

Q: OK, I’m in. Where do I sign?

Just came back from a stay here and absolutely loved it (more than I thought I would). The rooms are clean, bright and perfect size. LOVED: Shower is amazing with it’s double head; In-room Starbucks coffee; The views; The entire fitness area including pool and gorgeous hot tubs, steam rooms, fitness center is the best I’ve ever seen; On-site dining – had amazing meals at CIMA; Gondola, all I had to do was grab my skis from the valet and walk a few feet onto the Gondola; The lobby area was buzzing every day apres skis and into the night, they had really good cocktails and local beers. CON: I thought it would be the fact that it’s a pet friendly hotel but I actually loved seeing all the little critters about in their chic designer outfits. The rates are fantastic for the quality you get and location is excellent. I tried several other restaurants in the area and took the Beaver Creek shuttle to dine up in Beaver Creek a couple nights. I really did not have a bad experience at all during my stay and would highly recommend this property.
